Preparing for Class

.) Avoid eating a full meal within 2 hours of class. If you need to eat within 2 hours before class we suggest a banana or something light. Practicing yoga on a full stomach will hinder your practice. Don't forget to hydrate! Drink plenty of water and bring a bottle with you to class.

.) Wear comfortable clothing! Yoga pants, leggings, light cotton pants, anything that you can move in. You will practice in bare feet, without socks.

.) Arrive to the studio early, at least 5 minutes before the start of class.

.) Take off your shoes once inside the studio, please no shoes on the wood floor.

.) Sign in before each class that you attend. If you are new to the studio please fill out our short new student form.

.) Turn off your phone! Or switch it to silent, but a vibrating phone is just as disturbing as a ringing phone during class.

.) We have mats available for any students who do not bring a mat. Grab a mat, or two if you have join or knee issues and set up according to your teachers preference.

.) Arrive with an open mind and open heart. Leave all your expectations for the class and your practice at the door!

.) Breathe and relax! Listen to your body and never do anything that causes pain. Don't be afraid to ask for help and if you need to, take a child's pose at any point during the class. Never compare your practice to other students, we are all unique and in different stages of our journey.
